20th Annual Jacksonville FOODFIGHT
Each year volunteers representing the local restaurant community host an event called “The Jacksonville FOODFIGHT” that features 50 of Jacksonville’s finest restaurants and beverage wholesalers/distributors who come together in friendly competition to “take a bite out of hunger” by raising funds and awareness for the Second Harvest North Florida.
The 20th Annual Jacksonville FOODFIGHT will be held at the Crown Royal Touchdown Club from on Thursday, June 10, 2010. The event will feature 50 local restaurants, beverage distributors and caterers engaging in a friendly competition showcasing their signature dishes. In addition to the fabulous food and spirits, there will be live entertainment and a silent auction and raffle - both featuring an array of exciting items. More than 1,200 guests attend the event each year and enjoy the samplings provided by the best in the industry. Nearly $75,000 was raised at the event in 2009 - a record total - with all proceeds benefiting Second Harvest North Florida.
